Jr. Highlanders Youth Wrestling is a Mequon-Thiensville community-based program designed to introduce and develop the fundamentals of wrestling in a positive, supportive environment. Our goal is to help children build confidence, discipline, and athletic skills that benefit them both on and off the mat.
WHY WRESTLING?
Wrestling is one of the most complete sports for youth development:
Builds balance, coordination, strength, and agility
Teaches discipline, resilience, and confidence
Keeps every athlete active—no bench
Supports success in football, rugby, hockey, soccer, and other sports
COME TRY WRESTLING
Whether your child is new to sports or already plays multiple sports, wrestling provides a foundation that helps every athlete grow.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Fundamentals First – Age-appropriate instruction focused on safe technique and long-term development
Positive & Respectful – Sportsmanship, inclusion, and effort are emphasized
Confidence Through Challenge – Athletes learn to overcome obstacles
